MAZAK CNC
Mills
- Each Mazak CNC horizontal
milling machine has 40 horse power capacity and travels at 3000
inches per minute.
- The 1st Mazak CNC mill works with a 40 bit tool changer,
compared to the second machine which has an 80 bit tombstone.
- The mill is equipped with a probe programmed to
inspect the parts, determine if they are within specs, and shut
down the machining or continue based on the results.

OKUMA
L470 CNC Lathes
- A total of three OKUMA L470 CNC lathes are equipped with part
catchers (small box in door) for
continuous operation on small parts.
- The lathes are also
equipped with live tooling which allows the lathe to drill and
even mill some parts, eliminating the need to do a second operation
on most parts.
- The small lathe can feed up to 2.75 in. (70mm),
and the big lathe can feed up to 4.125 in. (105mm) through the
chuck.

CNC Saws
- Two MARVEL
upright (band) saws are capable of up to 45 degree cuts.
- A KASTO CNC Circular Saw was brought
on line in 2005. It cuts
roughly 2.5 times faster that our bandsaws and is much more accurate.
- A smaller KASTO manual saw for RUSH
orders has also been added. It can cut up to 60 degree angles.
- A
DOALL Dual Column straight cut automatic saw was also added in
2005.
A dedicated steel buffing facility
ensures that the steel is in good contition prior to going through
the saws.
